Six Colors In Your Hair

There are six stallions in the meadow
Six colors in your hair
A breeze across blue flowers
Your laughter in the air.

There’s a stillness on the water
A stillness in your eyes.
I can feel your smile
A warm sun in disguise.

  1. Thank you! That’s a very interesting responnse to the poem. I like the idea that it provokes so many associations for you.

  2. This is a lovely take on using a list to generate a poem with great feeling – so simple, yet leaves so much room for the reader’s mind to free-associate. A kind of bare-foot poem. G
