I’ve Told You Now

(About a 1 minute read)

I do not remember now the date
But it was within the same month
That we met, you brought me to my knees
In nauseous and unaccustomed surrender
Of my self and my arrogance,
In devout prayer to a god I did not believe:
“Let me be good for her,
Above all, let me good for her.”

That was something
I never before told you,
But I’ve told you now.

It’s since been my fortune
You’ve said several times
The spontaneous song of my heart
Was answered and amplified
So that it sings to you too
In your heart now.

I'd love to hear from you. Comments make my day.
