Groceries or clothing — which store would you prefer spending time in?

Is heaven a real place, a metaphor for a state of bliss, or a myth?

  1. Hi Paul, here I go …
I actually quite enjoy grocery shopping probably because I enjoy eating!
Heaven is a state of bliss.
Yes. They shrank and I grew.
I wish! Generally you have to put in some work and action but I think a positive mindset helps.
I need to ride more. I’ve been roped into going on an extended 9 day bike ride late in November and I should be training.
I danced last weekend. Love it and keeps you young. 🙂

  2. Groceries or clothing — which store would you prefer spending time in? – Groceries. I’d rather be healthy than fashionable 😀

Is heaven a real place, a metaphor for a state of bliss, or a myth? – I think heaven is real and is a state of bliss. I believe in many “heavens” actually, there being a hierarchy.

Are you taller than your parents? – Nay, i did not eat my broccoli 😀

Is it true that you can attract things — such as wealth or troubles — to you simply by thinking about them? – One’s state of mind determines actions. If i’m happy and think well of myself, i will be socially attractive to people. Having a depressed mindset makes one focus on the bad things, and so it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

How often do you ride a bicycle these days? – Not very much. When summer comes though, i’ll be riding it heaps 😀

When was the last time you danced? – This week or the last? Me and my sisters spontaneously dance together when we want to tell each other something 😀 Though a proper dance say, a waltz? I have no idea. I’m not terribly good at formal dancing 😀

  3. Groceries or clothing: Groceries! I don’t even like clothing. Retirement to Cape D’Agde is an option.

Heaven: Clearly it is all of the above. Interesting fact: in my younger days, I had an apocalyptic vision of heaven which profoundly shook me up, that I still remember very tangibly.

Tallness: No, I got my mother’s genes. My Dad used to be known by his students as “Old Antelope Legs”.

Law of Attraction: I think it probably works over the long term, provided you are also actually DOING something about it, not just sitting around resenting the universe for not bringing it to you yet.

Bicycle: Almost never, I am too nervous to bike in the city. Fremont drivers be crazy. But we rent bikes to tool around Tahoe or Yosemite sometimes.

Dancing: Every morning! Breakfast is otherwise dull.

  4. Is it true that you can attract things — such as wealth or troubles — to you simply by thinking about them? – Scientifically no, but have you ever heard of the Frequency Illusion? One day you buy a blue car, suddenly you see blue cars everywhere you go. Same goes for wealth and troubles.
