What sort of things do you save (apart from left over food)?
How would you describe your taste in clothing? What kinds and styles of clothing do you favor?
What gives you the most hope for the future of humanity?

I used to save lots of things, ticket stubs, letters, newspaper cuttings etc. I was basically a junk hoarder. Now I have stopped doing it…not completely but to quite an extent.
Conservative and comfortable, yet stylish.
I look at my kids, who are still unsullied in their thinking, my faith in humanity is restored.

I save old notes, funny private pictures, and a list of quotes regarding how people react to certain things.
My taste? I like messy-in-a-good-way stuff. i.e. messy hair bun, batwing, jeans, and boots.
Humanity will die. But it’ll come back alive. It’s never gonna end.

1) I used to save a lot more things than I do now, having broken myself of the habit of saving things when my husband and I moved three times within 5 years. The biggest thing that I was guilty of saving was sewing/craft stuff. In the house that we had lived in for 16 years (before we started moving around) I had a big sewing room. Over the years I filled it with shelves and bins of stuff that ‘may come in handy for a project some day.’ I saved patterns, leftover fabric, ribbons, fabric paint, you name it. Now I limit myself to one big plastic bin. And I throw the extra fabric out after I finish a project.
2) My taste in clothing is about as colorful and feminine as one can get and still stay professional/conservative. As you know, I make most of my clothes. One of the big advantages of making my clothes is that I can make them with functional pockets. I don’t know if you’ve ever noticed, but women’s clothes don’t usually have functional pockets. So, yeah, my taste in clothes runs to garments that have functional pockets.
3) Love.

I have indeed noticed that women’s clothing can be a nightmare in some ways — no functional pockets, twice as expensive as it should be, etc. No wonder you sew your own.

I do a lot of crafting. So tend to save all sorts. But I have culled a lot and am more discerning these days about what I keep. Oh, and books! Always books 🙂 I like to feel them in my hand, hold them, smell them, line the shelves with them. They are now overflowing so sadly I will have to cull! But OMG – which ones?!!!!!

Culling books is one of the saddest necessities of life. I save books too. Way too many books.

I have come to that fork in the road where culling must be done. Alas it will be my books as himself will lay his life down to protect his brood 🙂 But I will NOT fill the house with bookshelves.
