Paul’s One Big Question for October 15, 2018

What song best exemplifies your approach to life, and how does it do that?

Please Note:  Today’s question was suggested by Andrew Hayes who blogs here.

  1. I don’t know if there is a song that sings about my approach to life, but I sure know a song that I relate to the most. ‘Breakaway’ by Kelly Clarkson. It begins with, ‘Grew up in a small, and when the rain would fall down, I’d just stare out my window’ and resonates very deeply with me.

  2. Mine would be Alive by Sia:
I had a one-way ticket to a place where all the demons go
    Where the wind don’t change
And nothing in the ground can ever grow
    No hope, just lies
And you’re taught to cry into your pillow
    But I survived
I’m still breathing, I’m still breathing
I’m still breathing, I’m still breathing
    I’m alive
    I’m alive

  3. These questions are not getting any easier! What immediately came to mind is Amazing Grace, followed in short order by Bridge Over Troubled Water and Sounds of Silence. I’m sure there are many others! Each stirs my soul in different ways – to have my eyes open to the amazing grace which fills my life with love, joy and peace and provides that bridge over the invariably churning waters of life and the loud silences that sometimes fill the air

  4. Don’t worry be happy!

Or maybe I’m just in a happy mood and half a month from now I’ll be in the doldrums and would answer this question with something on the complete other end of the spectrum 😉

  5. I like Bob Marley’s song, “Three Little Birds.” When I get anxious, I sing it to myself, it always makes me smile.
