The Mountains are Always Moving

When have you last looked at the clouds
Long enough to see them moving?
The clouds are always moving,
When have you last looked at the clouds?

When have you last looked at the mountains
Long enough to see them moving?
The mountains are always moving,
When have you last looked at the mountains?

When have you last looked at your beloved
Long enough to see them moving?
Your beloved is always moving,
When have you last looked at your beloved?

    1. I love how you describe it as thought provoking but not burdensome. That could be my ideal for a poem — but seldom achieved. Do you have any musical talent? I have none. But if you want to try to turn it into a song, by all means go ahead!

    1. So true! So very true! I could say with a great deal of honesty – and very little exaggeration, I think — that it has only been within the last two years, that I’ve begun to come to grips with change and to appreciate it for the blessing it is.
